Call to Artists
As a PAA member, if you are hosting an artist-related event, you are welcome to contact us. The PAA website can serve as a resource of information for your artist search. Send your "Call to Artist" form via email to the Executive Director of PAA: director@polkartsalliance.org. Other local arts agencies who are members of the Florida Association of Local Arts Agencies may submit information, even if they are not members of PAA (though encouraged). Current "Calls":
Ridge Art Association (a CAB member) is seeking entries for a brand new exhibition held in cooperation with the City of Winter Haven. The exhibit called, "My Winter Haven," is a juried competition with accepted work to be featured in City Hall for six months. Original artworks created in the past two years are eligible for submission. The entry fee is $25 for RAA members and $30 for all others. Four pieces can be entered.
Receiving dates for entries will be from 10 am - 4 pm August 10 and from 8:30 am - 11 am August 11 at CIty Hall. A judge's critique will be held at 2:30 pm August 11.
The competition is open to area artists, age 18 and up, in all fine art mediums (no crafts), and the subject matter must be specifically about a Winter Haven scene or landmark with an address to coincide with the artworks.
The competition features $2,000 in prize money. Call RAA for a prospectus. Their number is 863.291.5661.
