The Lakeland Art Guild was established in 1952 and incorporated in 1956. Winnie Selhimer and Mary Carter, both artists and teachers, formed the guild to give artists a place to share their knowledge and exhibit their work. Joker Marchant, director of the Park and Recreation Department, arranged for the group to meet in Tigertown. In 1994 the Guild moved to the Magnolia Building. The guild has a show every November and an annual juried show at Florida Southern College. They host classes, workshops and demonstrations.
They meet the last Monday of the month except June, July and December. Call for times and location.
